Residence: Nicci lives alone in an apartment that he can afford to rent. He has a dream of owning his own estate in the area of York, but he hasn’t fulfilled that dream yet.

Social Class/Status: Nicci has always had to work for what he has. It’s hard to be a Half Blooded wizard in a world so steeped in aristocracy and tradition. Having been a man of many jobs, he has worked the extremes of hard work. From small handy man jobs for his landlord to pay his rent, a position in the Ministry of Magic in the Department of Mysteries, to private selling of his own inventions, it seems he has done much of everything.
The Personality
Emotional Disposition: Nicci tries to be unattached and disassociated but his passion overwhelms him often. His passion isn’t about relationships or affairs of the heart; it is more of a zest of life. No matter what he tries to do, his emotions can sway him to move into a different action. And forgive him ahead of time, when he really wants you to see his point of view, his voice might get a little loud and proud. It’s not that he’s yelling at you, he just really feels the connection in the topic.

Positive Characteristics: Nicci likes to consider himself a role model, though he knows the subject matter he knows most about is technical and often not interesting. So to make it interesting and keep his audience attentive, Nicci has developed a unique way of delivering his information through scientific and alchemical experiments and then explaining it afterwards. He believes everyone can understand the topics if they allow their minds to accept it.
Negative Characteristics: Mr. Hart often lets his invigorations control him. He would never harm a person but he learned a long time ago that his voice and words could be a powerful weapon. He feels that children are just young adults. It is hard for him to separate the difference. He believes that children who act up should not be treated any differently than adults who do the same. He will quickly send a student out of the classroom if they expose a desire to NOT learn.
Interaction: Mr. Hart loves working with others that want to apply themselves. He supposes that he has always been a teacher of sorts. To get others to understand what he was talking about with a lot of his own inventions, required he do a little bit of educating before talking to the persons about the items he wished to sell. When everything went well, he could even count of some of his patrons to sponsor him for a small bout of time. So to interact with others he had to develop a natural sense of salesmanship. Hart can usually gage a person by small observations, however when he is nervous, say before a large speech, those small observations become a distraction. Once distracted, the speech of the salesman is gone and he is back to his scientific mind until back on track.
Habits: Professor Hart does have a habit of scratching the side of his head while he is thinking through something logical. It leaves him often with a bit of mussed up hair, making him the butt of many jokes that he is unaware of.
Conflict and hardship: Years ago, Hart realized that his fiancé and family were mingling in a bout of dark magic. With a great weight on his conscious he had to provide testament against them to the Ministry of Magic. It did not help the matter that he was working for the Ministry at that time. It was a deep secret that was kept from him for so long during their courtship that Hart has found it difficult to trust others in that deep of regard. Since that matter he lost his job due to the vicious rumoring after. He has even been afraid to mention it to anyone else who didn’t already know. To put it simply, he doesn’t like to speak about that part of his life unless it is a matter of necessity.
Motivation, Passion and Drive: Everyone has the capability to do anything if they allow themselves to just master whatever it is. That is his motto. Sometimes the time it takes to master this issue takes longer for others, but it can happen. Hart has no patience for the word can’t, as it simply doesn’t exist in his vocabulary.

The Appearance
First Impression: He’s just another one of those science minded people…
On Second thought..: “Did you see that thing explode into that pink mist stuff? I’ve never seen anything like that before. That was amazing.” Sure he might look a part of the science nerd on first glance, but when he wants to get your attention he quite does.
Facial Features: Nicci is a man in his mid 30’s. Slight wrinkles, but what is present is mostly a face that could pass for a man in his late 20’s in the right light. His hair is a dark blonde almost hitting into the brunette colors, but at least he will call it blonde. He has blue eyes and can easily be seen as a man of germanic lineage, possibly Scandinavian, though he’s always known only English soil. When he smiles it is more of a full empowering face. His teeth are visible, his lips are pushing against his cheeks and his cheeks, themselves, apple into his eyes. For most people it’s pleasing.
Body type: He would love to say he is muscular, but even Hart knows that is just not the case. Nicci is thin, not like a lamppost or a twig, perhaps lithe is more the descriptor and it could be as long as you didn’t try and think of him as athletically lithe, as that would be a lie.
Distinguishing features: There is nothing that really marks Hart with anything distinguishing, though below his collar he does bears a few scars from magical explosions gone wrong from his inventions. No one should expect to see the man without his clothing on, though. That would down right scandalous.
Professional Skills:
Work Ethic: A man’s lot in the world is to work, to bring in pay. A wizard’s lot in life is to be a wizard and use magic. Hart has found the best way he could stay afloat was to create magic and sell it. He believes in working for a living, but there is no reason why the work has to be something that isn’t fun or innovative or even entertaining. If he isn’t enjoying some part of what he’s doing he probably won’t stay with it for very long.
Work perception: Work is a funny word, it can mean something laborious or something tedious or even something simple. But even he knows that with even magic and spells there is no way to conveniently whip up a permanent summoning spell of precise gears and springs. Magic won’t make the math work, no matter how detailed the research is.
Professional Relationships: Anything can be a relationship from enemies, coworkers to lovers. Nicci doesn’t have much mindset to trust another in a deep relationship, he does see a professional setting as a perfect place for coworkers. Whether that comes in a professional friendship or rivalry, either is fine. Rivalries only set the stage for a future of improving his own work and studies before the rival makes the break through. Hart sees rivalries much the way countries might have a standoff regarding technology. With a little bit of spying and hard work, he could provide better. A healthy rivalry is a great thing, as no one can have a friendship in every aspect of the world.
Capabilities: Hart believes strongly in himself. He has a great self-reliance, apparently he’s been relying on his own decisions for 35 years. So far, things have been well with the exception of a few issues that could not be controlled as they were beyond his sphere of influence.
Resume: Wulfram Niccodemios Hart is an Alumni of Hogwart’s, having received his NEWTs in Arithmancy and Astronomy, though having Outstanding OWLs in Charms and Transfiguration. After graduation, Hart sought a position in the Ministry of Magic and received a position in the Department of Mysteries. He worked for 3 years in the Department of Mysteries, rooms of Time and Space, while still researching alchemical processes of lead to gold. Due to finer details relating to personal matters, Hart was dismissed from that position. After a brief stint as a handy man for his landlord, Hart sold the plans he created for a new magical invention to the Ministry of Magic for a new conception of a programmable dueling dummy. It consisted of a moving pieces and tracked movement by way of precision gears and specialty timed springs and cable ropes. It was quite a grand comeback from being dismissed 4 years earlier. A small string of new invention came and went with small gusto, but when the last one didn’t find much interest, Hart began looking at helping to create new technologies for the Aurors and Obliviators who began actively participating in wars and battles. When the budgets for that year were exhausted, canceled and cut and no longer funded, Hart found himself once more tossed to the streets. He soon fell into a few governing positions to be a private tutor and sometimes governor to young aristocratic children, many of whom were young wizards and witches. It was thanks to the last tutor position he took with a wizarding family that he found his resume being handed to Hogwart’s for consideration.
The Wizard Information:
Discovery: Hart is a Half Blood Wizard. His father was pureblooded while his mother was closeted Muggleborn. Magic had been in the family and the children of the family were believed to be born chosen as well. So the matter was known how to quieted and handled properly. At 9 years old, Wulfram discovered he had “scary” magic powers by making his father’s hair catch on fire when upset he had to go to bed. Most children that ages are often testing their limits, he just happened to push himself that day too. Nothing tragic happened, though his father was upset at the time, it had turned into a great family story by the time the man was an adult.
Reaction and Acceptation: Discipline wasn’t unknown to Nicci as a child, it was just hard to wrangle. But once he was a student, it came to him or else there was a knuckle busting from his teachers. Punishment was different back then at Hogwart’s. Though thanks to the Ministry, Nicci was quite scared to practice at home as an underage wizard. Once gaining a mastery of the raw magic, and then learning how to manage new information and forms, Hart discovered his love of the tool available to him.

Magical Outline/disposition: Rules are there for a reason, when someone starts making concessions for one because their children or because their friends it just leaves room for someone else to abuse later.
Pet: Has a great black Labrador, but Hogwart’s may not be the best place to keep him.
The Family History
Parentage: Wulfram’s mother, Muggleborn witch, currently 53 years old. Brighitta Hart (nee Skarsgar)
Wulfram’s father, Pureblood wizard, currently 57 years old. Atherton Hart
Parenting is a hard subject to master and even when you think you are moving in the right direction you discover after the fact that you could have made things so much easier for yourself with the result. Nicci’s parents are caring parents, though they are typical of the rest of the countryside. The father took care of business while the mother stayed home with the children and the house. Though Nicci desired a closer relationship with his parents, he didn’t grow up with nothing. They are proud of him, no matter what, though he is still trying to work through the embarrassment of the scandal involving his fiancé some years ago. His choice had placed even his parents in danger of interrogation by the Ministry, something he certainly could not allow.
Currently, Mr. and Mrs. Hart live in a small cottage overlooking the coastline at Sandwich. They are much older and wizened, though they do receive word from their children from time to time.
Siblings: Wulfram’s sister, Half Blooded Witch, currently 29 years old. Merridith Adderton (nee Hart)
Merridith, Nicci’s little sister is married to a well to do gentleman. They do speak and exchange letters on occasion, when there is news to report. Because of the scandal from his past, Merridith does her best to keep distance. She is the proud mother to Nicci’s nephews, 2 boys.

Reputation: Wulfram Niccodemios Hart doesn’t have much of a reputation regarding his name outside of a few plusses and minus here and there. There will always be the big black blemish of having to testify for the Ministry and being relinquished afterwards because of it, but it is rather evened out by time and the few inventions he has created that are being put to work in the Ministry and smaller items in the homes of the individual.
Secrets: It’s not much of a secret unless you really are truly unaware, but his darkest secret is that he had to testify against his fiancé and her family that were soon to be his in-laws. They had all been in a very bad situation that forced them to choose between light and darkness. They had taken the easy way that joined with others and threatened to endanger the security and stability of the Ministry itself. The Ministry met this with swift action. While Wulfram was allowed to walk away unscathed by the Ministry other than losing his job from the scandal, he was deeply hurt that he had to make such a decision.
