and now to continue and finish and wrap it up before the year is over...)

So there it was.  The Slytherin Common Room door stood there in the darkness like a silent sentinel.  Its Green details glittering in the moments the moon allowed her shine to venture into the darkness of the forbidden.  The hallways were eeriely silent, a clue that let Cerridwyn know that her plan had gone off without a hitch.  Everyone was sleeping well thanks to the  small droplet she had managed to slip into the kitchen's water for dinner the eve before.  A Sleeping Draught was pretty potent to usually cause anyone who tasted its sweetness to fall into a rather deep coma until the effects wore off.  Cerri had thought about this ahead of time and knew someone would suspect the whole of the school falling asleep at the tables in the Great Hall.  No doubt everyone would have been put into an instant panic as the Ministry would have believed that someone was poisoning the students AND staff.

The cleverness of the Ravenclaws shined through.  Instead of a single strong drop, dilution was the answer.  A Dis-solution was crafted by one of the older students.  Together mixed with a drop of the Draught a tincture was made in perfect calculation.  Instead of a scary fairy tale ending of everyone falling their heads into the mashed potatoes at dinner a slight tiredness would fall over the crowd who drank it.  Thus ensuring that a good majority of the school would want to go to sleep as soon as their head hit the pillows.  It wasn't as strong as a hag's magic of Hundredyear Sleep but it was certainly enough to  keep the halls quiet of Prefects and Heads.  Not even the Slytherins would hear their approach through the opening of the doors.

"Shh, shh, shhhh."  One of the dark shrouded Ravenclaws whispered trying to keep the mob silent as they approached the Slytherin Room Doors.  They knew the halls were quiet, but who woould risk being too loud and overpowering the magic?
"Cerri, what's the password?"  The first girl whispered unsure of how to enter the Sluthies room.
"Umm...try......" Cerri thought for a moment thinking of what would be appropriate for a pass protection for the door.  She had snuck the halls a few times and overheard a Slytherin code word or two.
"Slytherin."  She answered remembering the first one she had last year as she ran amuck with Adrian.  It was too arrogant of them to actually use a hard code.  Really, who would break into Slytherin's Rooms.  She grinned, hoping it worked and that the leaving of Professor Warwick hadn't caused the House to change the entrance word.

"Slytherin."  The other girl whispered to have the door open.  Much to her surprise, it didn't work.
"It's not working.  Cerri you promised you'd have the password before we got here."  The immediate stare from the auburn haired girl made Cerri cringe.  Obviously the password had changed. but she knew Adrian had used it before.  Quickly Cerri sighed with a lot of tension.  She had heard it recently though too.  It had to be the right word.
"Salazar Slytherin."  She paused with silence all around her.  Nothing.  That didn't work either.  Now things were getting irritating and she began rambling off a few other possible passwords that would exclaim the exhuberance of the Green and Gray.  It wasn't likely that The Slytherin House would have a hard or complicated password, especially knowing some of the students who were sorted ito that particular House.

Words like snake, snake in Latin, green, purity, pureblood, cuning, cleverness, tenacity...the words kept coming until a finalizing sound signified the door was no longer sealed.  Cerri grinned, rather a bit more relieved that excited.
"See.  You don't trust me enough."  She shook her head as she placed a hand on the oherside of the door to slip in quietly.  The small group of Ravenclaws dispersed to their known assignements.  Afew to watch the halls, another grouping to guard the door and Cerri and two others enterred the corridor.  Slimy wetness trickled down the corridor's wall behind the door.  It was like water was seeping its way out of the lake and into a chamber below.  The wetness left a chalky feel to her hand as it dried away, like something was in the water, maybe calcium, who knew Cerri just didn't want to ever be forced to drink it.

"Are you ready..."  The Welsh girl's eyes lit up with a grin that sperad from one ear to the other.
"...Limburgio."  She began before the others in the room copied almost at the same time.  They had to get the spell off before anyone could stop them.  That was their primary target, whether they were caught or not.  Limburger, as they all knew, was a cheese that had a high potent aroma...if one could call this aroma a good thing.  But the spell itself had a delay factor.  Nothing happened when they cast the spell and that was the way it had been designed.

No.  Somewhere around dawn a confetti would rain down within the Slytherin Common Rooms made of nothing but cheese, stinky cheese.  And all the Slytherin Robes would carry this stench where ever they went.  The plan was perfect, assuming no one interrupted their spells.
