The Ravenclaws were up to something....a special little game that required some research first. Having a thought and creative moment meant nothing if those creative ideas swam around doing nothing. That was Cerri's thought exactly. How could one want to cast a spell of confetti when they had no idea what so ever of how to do it.
"Oh...what about delaying spells? That would be kind of fun too." A grin slid over her face as she was talking to herself. A few moments passed and the girl was all ready on her way back to a study table with an armload of books. Reasearch on her idea. She was ready to huncker down and find an answer to her idea.
Placing the books down, she looked over the small stack and soon thought that this was a light load for what she normally pulls to the tables to read over during class time. There just weren't that many books on confetti. Really though, who would write a book about confetti, that seems like a childish topic to write about. But regardless the topic, she was really looking for a way to create her own spells. And to prove she could be right in the niche of things, especially when no one knows what she was up to. Maybe they would put it all together when she was done. That she was the one responsible for this clever little plan. The whole idea made her feel a bit amused with her antics and ready to do it...assuming she discovered how.
She sat down with the first book and skimmed over the paragraphs about parties and it wasn't until she was halfway through the first chapter that she discovered this was a book on ettiquette. She sighed with a bit of disbelief. That was a waste of time she thought to herself. Flipping a few pages she found something about wine goblets refillig themselves as a good host of a party, interesting...but not what she was entirely looking for. But then again...................maybe she could get the confetti delieverers to refill themselves and it wouldn't be just a one shot deluthe. Was there a spell listed for that? Certainly some easy find stuff would be great.

Allison walked into the library, tring to not be graceful. Allison liked to change things about herself that made her well..odd. Her natural grace was always looked at as a gift from others, but when surrounded by clumsy people a graceful one is out of place. Allison tried, hard as she could, to stumble. Her attempt ended up making her do a skip step, which from the stares of surrounding people she judged had looked like a graceful dance. For the time being, Allison would put her attention elsewhere as this attempt was going no where. Allison was only in the library in the first place to read about werewolves. A letter from her flustered Mum had revealed that the latest gossip back home was that Miss Mayweather down the street was bitten by one! Allison didn't know much on the topic and wanted to know whether it was safe for her Mum to continue her dailey tea with Miss Mayweather if this was the case. Allison scanned the book linned shelves and picked a book that looked interesting and would hopefull y be helpful. While Facts About Night Creatures didn't sound interesting, the aquamarine binding did. Allison saw Cerridwyn at a table and hoped she wouldn't mind if Allison joined her.
"Is this seat taken?" Allison asked.

Cerri was comfortable at the table in the Library scanning over the book she was currently engrossed in. Pictures! Why didn't any of these books have any pictures to better explain the idea that was written about? If she ever wrote a book she would make certain it had pictures. Pictures were essential for people to understand the material that much more. There were different types of people in the world some who detested art work in books designed for written literature and those who truly appreciated it. Sadly, the person who put these books together in their display were one of the ones who hated pictures. The whole matter made Cerri feel a little sick to her stomach as she passed up perfectly good topics.
Flipping the pages one by one, she read a few snippets to make sure she wasn't skipping over the topic she had come in here for, If the Ravenclaw was moving any faster there might have been an air current formed from her fanning of the book.
"Confetti, confetti, confetti...there has to be a spell about that somewhere..." She continued looking through the book until her attention was broken by a familiar voice.
"Oh, by all means. Have a seat. Maybe you can help me. I'm trying to find a party spell to drop little ribbons on people and I'm not having any luck so far." Cerri looked up towards Allison as she waited patiently for an answer. She was quick to clear the small stack of materials from the area in front of Allison...just to make sure she doubly knew she was invite.

"Thank you!" Allison said quickly as she sat down. "I'm just doing a bit of reading on werewolves. And does the book have an index? If so maybe you could start there." Allison suggested. She didn't want to be rude, but she had work to do. She opened the book and scanned the table of content. Werewolves..........259 "259" Allison muttered to herself as the flipped through the pages, searching for the number that would let her know more on the subject. She eventually found the page. She stuck a finger there to keep her spot and thumbed throught the rest of the section. Oh...wow this is a long section. I'll have to check it out when I leave." She thought. Best get started now then...

Uriel was rather bored today; her brother had escorted her to and from her classes, as he did every day. Though she usually felt rather comfortable within his company, today Michal was in a ripe foul mood. Some little Half-Blood twit had given him the slip and if there was one think Michal didn’t like, it was feeling rejected.
She had decided to visit the Library quickly before returning to the Ravenclaw common rooms. Her brother would be worried if she were gone for much more than an hour. She had passed by the relatively abandoned desks until she came to one currently occupied by a fellow Ravenclaw.
“Oh, by all means. Have a seat. Maybe you can help me. I'm trying to find a party spell to drop little ribbons on people and I'm not having any luck so far." She heard the girl say as she passed.
With a smile, Uriel turned down an Isle she had quickly familiarized herself with during her first few months within Hogwarts castle and spent just a few moments looking for a book on Part tricks she had come across in her studies. ‘Decorating the bland’ it was called. She held the slim leather bound book in her hand and smiled as she walked over to her fellow Ravenclaw.
“I’m sorry to intrude on your conversation,” she said in her soft song-bird tone, “But I heard you mention something about needing a spell for confetti?” She placed the book down before the girl and took a barely noticeable step back. “I thought perhaps this could help. If memory serves, I believe there are even a few pictures to guide your actions. Hopefully it can be of some use.”

Offering a place to someone wanting to sit with cerri was nothing. It was simply common curtesy. The seat was available and Cerri could certainly use the help. So far she had been in the Library for nearly an hour trying to find the one piece of information she needed. There were plenty of other open seats available, no doubt she could offer her help to Allison and in return get assistance back. Allison was nice enough, as Cerri remembered from the Hospital, even taking the initiative to bring her mail.
But instead of a helpful comment there was something rather rude said in reply. ~Check the Index, OF COURSE! Why didn't she think of that?~ Maybe the book was written by some scribe in the 15th century and there wasn't any sot of Index. Cerri took a second before actually speaking. How equally rude of her it would have been to say what she was thinking.
"Thanks. Index...got it." Cerri said as politely as she could muster before jumping back into her own book again reading over snippets of paragraphs and moving on to the next one.
Silenced passed by for a few moments. It might have been only a minute or so but the silence was deafening, passing as slow as possible. The sound of nothing was squashed as a book was placed on the table with a few words of appology from another Ravenclaw. Cerri recognized her as one of the Firstyears. There so many this year it was hard to keep thm all straight. What was her name....something after an angel, she thought. She looked to the book and then up to the girl with a shocked look that grew into a smile of appreciation.
"OH! This perfect. Where did you find this? I bet there's a confetti spell in here." Cerri ran her fingers over the cover reading the title. This might have been just the thing she needed to complete the Great Ravenclaw Caper!

Uriel blushed in a light, ladylike manor that Michael had often said lit up her face. “Oh, it’s nothing really. Just something I came across while studying.”
She glanced around the Library for a moment and noticed out of the corner of her eye Michael standing by the door way. He seemed angrier than before, worried even. His dark features had turned curious and pensive, as if he was contemplating his youngest sister’s sanity. Michael’s curiosity was a far more frightening thing than his anger ever could be…
This was certainly not the time to be making friendly with her fellow housemates.
“Yes, well, anyway. I hope you find what you’re looking for, check chapter twelve, it helped out my oldest sister quite a bit back in the day. I believe I must leave, Michael will be quite upset with me should I take much longer.”
Uriel gave a slight curtsy before hastily walking over to her older brother. He held out his arm, as he always did when he escorted her about the castle. She took it without hesitation, and on a whim, through one final fleeting glance over her shoulder and allowed a small heartfelt smile to caress her lips.

Allison read for several minutes. While the history of how there word werewolf came to be, it wasn't helpful in her situation. Allison looked up as a ravenclaw girl in her year placed a book on the table. Allison recognized the girl and had to stiffle a groan. While she understood a love for knowledge, this girl was just annoying to Allison. She is probably a lovely person, Allison thought but showing your knowledge and flaunting it are two different things. Allison tried to return to the book and pay no mind to the girl as she had the exact right book at the exact right time.
Maybe Allison's annoyance with her came simply our of jealousy. Allison did well in her classes, but from what she had seen of the girl she was no where near as good as she. Also, this girl--Uriel was it?-- was able to help Cerridwyn immediantly with the exact thing she needed where as Allison could only recommend to check for an index. Now that Allison thought about it, her "recommendation" seemed worse and worse. How old was the book Cerri was looking throught? What if it didn't have an index? And now she was realizing that she had been a bit rude as well. Of course she hadn't meant to be short with her, but being busy was no excuse to be rude. Allison chastised herself. She would have to be more careful about what she said. Allison decided to wipe the expression off her face that was no doub reflecting her sour mood and be polite, but just as she looked up Uriel was walking off.
Oh Darn Allison thought sarcastically, but now that she was gone Allison wasn't quite so tense. "I hope you find the spell in that book," Allison said sweetly--but not overly so-- "Why are you looking for confetti anyways?"

"Thanks again." Cerri waived to Uriel as she turned to leave. Cerri gave one of those suspicious grins on her face as she looked to Uriel. Those Ravenclaws were up to something and both Cerridwyn and Uriel must have had a hand in it, judging by Cerri's smirk. She looked back to the book's cover and reread the title. Decorating the Bland. It certainly made sense. She opened the cover and read over the Index to see if there was anything immediate listed to solve her delimma.
"Appled spices, bobbing streamers, chalices of refillmentations..." She read aloud at a mere whisper, so as not to disturb her table mate.
"Huh?" Cerri was interrupted. She looked up and saw Allison taking an interest asking about why she was so interested in confetti. Cerri didn't know how to respond. She so badly wanted to tell someone, but if she did the whole plan would be ruined.
"Well, umm. It's a celebrating season right?" She grinned rather sheepishly, knowing she was holding back the full information.
"I was hoping to celebrate the beginning of classes with a little confetti." It wasn't a lie. She did hope to celebrate the beginning of classes with a small shower of confetti. Some sort of signifier that the second half had begun.
"What are you reading about?" The Ravenclaw motioned to the book Allison had her nose in. It looked dusty and unused for years.

Allison doubted she was getting the full truth from Cerri, but the gleam in her eye and the smirk on her face told Allison that it might be best to leave it that was. Allison flashed a half smile. Knowing Cerri, Allison might want to remember to read warning labels in the near future.
Allison looked down at her dusty blue book. "OH! Just this extremely interesting book!" Allison said sarcastically. "It's called Facts about Night Creatures." Allison said the title in a deep scratchy voice that sounded much like her grandfathers. Allison giggled as she thought about her quirky grandfather reading the book in his plum robes with his nose to the page just so he could make out the words. Allison pursed her lips so she wouldn't giggle again, being kicked out of the library was definatley not on her to do list. "I am just reading up on werewolves. Mum sent a letter saying my neighbor has been bit! Best to know what I'll be coming home to this summer!"
