Allison needed some air. Studying was good and useful, but several hours of it straight does things to a person. A walk on the first floor should clear my head, Allison thought It feels nice to stretch my legs a little. Allison mindlessly drifted down hall ways humming a tune she had heard somewhere but couldn't remember what it was. After a while of this, Allison decided she best be getting back to her studying, but as she looked around she didn't remember ever being in this hallway before. Maybe I can just retrace my steps, Allison thought. But, when she turned around she noticed sevral hallways led into this particular one, none of which were familiar and frankly Allison didn't know which one she had come down. Thinking that maybe she could ask for directions, Allison looked down each hall but they were all empty. That's strange, not a single person in any of these classrooms either. Allison was getting a bad feeling about this. Maybe it was just because she was new to Hogwarts, but Allison wasn't sure. Was it colder in this hallway? Were all of the hallways this dark? Goosebumps rose on her arms as she shivered from the chill that crept down her neck. Why am I freaking out? It's just Hogw- Allison stopped walking. What was that? Allison listened. It sounded like branches scratching against a window. The problem was, there were no windows. Unless she had traveled further than she thought, she was no where near the outside walls of the castle. Allison's heart beat quickend, her breaths became more shallow. Was Hogwarts what it appeared to be? Everything has it's secrets, but Allison got a feeling that she didn't want to know this one. Allison heard footsteps. She pulled her wand, though she didn't know any spells that would be useful in this situation the person might not know that. You're a Rose. Allison told herself firmly, Act like one. Remember, it's all about appearences. Allison turned around to face whomever it was that was comming.

Adele was walking through the dark hallway on the first floor, turned the corner, and quickly stopped when she saw a wand pointed in her direction. She smiled calmly and peered past the wand at the witch who held it. "Oh, hello Allison," she said to the Hufflepuff, friendly as a person with a wand pointed at their face could be. "Are you lost?"

Allison jumped as Adele turned the corner, then felt relieved that it was only Adele. What had Allison been thinking, Hogwarts was her home now and it was perfectly safe. Why had her imagination gotten away from her like that? "Yes, very!" Allison chuckled "These halls can be a little intimidating too." Allison lowered her wand and took in a slow deep breath.

Adelaine's breath got back to normal when the girl lowered her wand. "I remember my first day here. I got lost on the third floor. Not the greatest experience!" she chuckled.
She used to wander the hallways every moment she got alone. It calmed her almost as much as lounging by the lake. She took a deep breath and zoned out for a minute when she realized she was finally starting to make friends. Suddenly she remembered she still hadn't heard from her parents. I really should write to them..
Then curiosity struck her. "What exactly were you looking for here?"

"I had been studying and wanted to stretch my legs. My attention was else where and i ended up here. I haven't quite learned Hogwarts yet, as you can see. I have a map but..I would rather not use it..." Allison said, thinking of the map her parents had given to her before she left home. Allison hadn't bothered looking at it until a few nights ago. Allison shuttered as she remembered the awful things the hand drawn map had said. The slytherin common room marked as heaven, crude jokes as titles every where else. Except of course, in places where her parents obvious dislike of muggleborns was shown. As soon as Allison realized this map would not be of must help, she hid it, embarrassed to be seen with it.
