The poached egg on her plate was taunting her, and Sylverster gave a low moan when eyes and mouth started appearing on it. The face was mocking her, she thought to herself angrily, jabbing the food with menace. After a few minutes, she finally gave up being so ridiculous, ending the battle by consuming the insulting piece of egg.
It was then that she heard a high-pitched scream, one that was very much familiar. Turning around with excitement, her eyes found the startling white eagle flying towards the Ravenclaw table. But before Phyrrus was able to reach his destination, he suddenly turned and landed on the Hufflepuff table. Sylverster cocked her head to one side in confusion before realizing that her pet must be tired. Phyrrus has been weak for the past two weeks and the long journey must have tired him.
Stepping away from her table, giving her friends a brief smile, she excused herself and went towards the Hufflepuff table, where the eagle was happily drinking from a Hufflepuff girl's cup. From the look of it, she was a first-year and seemed to be lost in her own thoughts, looking glum and sad. There were empty spots on both sides of her, and Sylverster quietly took a seat on her left, keeping a close eye on Phyrrus, not wanting him to fall ill. "Seems like he likes to drink from your cup," she muttered, smiling at the girl, wondering why she wasn't talking to anyone else from her house.

"I wasn't drinking it anyways. Lovely eagle you have, though." Allison looked closely at the girl. She had long ebony hair, misty gray eyes, much like Allison's, and pale skin. Surely she's a pureblood,Allison thought thinking back to what her parents told her But if what they said is true...I haven't met a single halfblood yet! That can't be true... they always told me "Hogwarts was overrun by halfbloods and worse, mudbloods" how curious...
Allison gave the girl a small smile when she realized she was the first person to talk to her so far! "Are you a pureblood? It's not that I'm against halfbloods, no that's my parents, I'm just wondering. You don't have to say! Sorry!"Allison babbled on how she does when shes nervous. She was definatley nervous, if she played her cards right she might have a friend.

"Are you a pureblood? It's not that I'm against halfbloods, no that's my parents, I'm just wondering. You don't have to say! Sorry!" The abrupt question took her by surprise, and she stared at the girl for a while, curious as to why the question was raised, and why the girl was so flustered by it. Shaking her head lightly, she placed one of her hands on the Hufflepuff's comfortingly, "I am from the house of Kelestral, surely you've heard of it? I can give you my official title, but for now, I'm simply Sylverster Lynne," she said, tilting her head gently to one side. She wasn't sure if this girl has heard of her title, but most people would know her family name.
The title was one meant for intimidation when facing opposing families, but in such cases of befriending a pretty girl, it was perfectly unnecessary. "Don't worry, I'm not offended by that at all, and I'm glad to say that I agree with you," she replied, giving her a soft pat on the hand.

From what her father told her before, Allison has a younger brother who has died in a fire. The newspaper made it clear that the fire was caused by house elves, but her family was not fooled. House elves are bonded to the families they serve so strongly, they would never be able to commit a crime that would endanger the family in anyway. That incident was so well-known in the society at that time, almost every single person in Europe knew about it. It was the first time that house elves were prosecuted for murdering its young master. Though her thoughts were at that unpleasant topic, she decided not to mention it, aware that such a memory, no matter what the cause is, would never be a nice one.
"So, are you enjoying yourself in Hogwarts so far?" she asked, still strong Phyrrus, a soft smile on her face.

If the girl was enjoying her time here, then why was she so miserable just a while ago? Sylverster kept her question to herself, settling for a comforting smile for the friendly Hufflepuff that she's taken a liking of, "Unlike general belief, I think that getting sorted into Hufflepuff is a thing that one should be proud of. It shows that you are fiercely and faithfully loyal, and one can always trust you to support and stay with them till the very end. They ought to be proud of you, but instead of trying to tell them otherwise, perhaps show them what you're worth through your actions." she replied, her eyes bright as she offered those hopefully-helpful words. "How are your housemates and friends so far?" she asked again, her voice kind and curious. When she first arrived, she was surprised to find that she could interact with most of her year mates with ease, and it was then that she made her first few friends, the ones whom she would cherish for the rest of her life...

When Allison shifted slightly to fold her hands on her lap, Sylverster couldn't help but look down, only to find more scars on her arms. Her face kept neutral, she hid the inner grimace that caught her when she thought about the pain that would lead to such results. It happened when the girl was young, and she wondered if those scars, along with the inner ones, have healed, or if they ever would. "I have not had a good chat with any of my house mates yet. I am sure they are all remarkable people, though. As for friends...I have not had the pleasure of makeing any yet." Sylverster looked up once more when she heard Allison responding to her question, and she went through the words that formed the hesitant reply. Those words spoke more than their owner did, and Sylverster's mind was quick to work out what they actually meant. A frown marred her supposedly calm expression as she pondered over the other Hufflepuffs. Somehow, she couldn't believe that none of them would be willing to befriend this gentle and sweet girl in front of her. On the other hand, she felt that perhaps that Allison, in fear of rejection, one that is so similar from her parents, shy away for any attempts that should be made possible.
Sylverster decided that she would be the one to make the first breakthrough, she wanted to show Allison that Hogwarts would offer more than just a magical learning experience, the seven years that everyone would spend in this castle would present them with much more wonders, and a whole lot more love. She rid herself of her unpleasant frown and gave Allison a smile, "Fret not, I am sure you would making some very soon. But for now, you can count me in your list."
As different as their backgrounds were, Sylverster could understand the dilemma that Allison was in. When she was young, she feared making friends because she was different, and her parents even called her special. Even when she was five, she had earned her social status without doing anything other than being the heir of the house, and that terrified her, all those expectations and judgmental stares from the adults. Children tried to get close because their parents told them to, and she knew it. She resented public and official gatherings since then, and it surprised her that one short year in Hogwarts changed that about her. Sure, Sylverster was still more than aware of the treacheries and dangers of social politics, of the life that she's in, and the adulthood that she would be stepping into in a few years' time, but this time, she was confident that she would be capable of selecting the group that she would placed her ultimate trust on.
She wanted to show Allison that if she was able to step over the chains that restricted her, and the beautiful new sight that she was exposed to after conquering her fears and resentments, then the girl would be capable of doing so too. "I fear that I am timid when it comes to interaction with other wizards. I have been quite sheltered since my brother's death and I...I am scared of learning magic. Things have been wild since I started school and I am afraid makeing friends has not been at the top of my to do list." Allison's voice brought her out from her deep thoughts, and her mind was quick and eager to dissect the meanings behind the reply once again. From them, she understood that her deduction of how Allison felt was rather accurate, but the mention of her brother confirmed her theory. "The house elves weren't at fault, but you weren't, either. It was fate at her worst, she was the one who connected those seemingly insignificant things together and presenting you with the harshness of the world. If there's anything to go by, perhaps - perhaps he's at a better place now. He would be able to see the beauties of life from above, and he would be safe from the treacherous water that all of us have to step into very soon," she spoke, her words proving that her intellect was beyond her age, and it was her turn to fear that Allison would shy away just because of her intimidating words.
"Magic is all about control and intent," she offered, giving the girl a smile, wanting the Hufflepuff to know that she knew the truth behind the lies, and that she would never fault her for it. "One the intent is right, and you're in control, nothing would go wrong. I am sure that your intent was pure curiosity and your desire to seek knowledge, and those feelings of a kid were anything but wrong and malicious. It was the control that slipped away from your unpolished core, and nobody should fault you for that. For one, I know that I would never."

Allison's eyes refocused as she remembered her surroundings. She was in the great hall with Sylverster. She looked back up at the girl, seeing as looking at her scars would do no good. Her words gave Allison strength. Yes, she was Allison's first friend at Hogwarts and the first person to be able to put Warren's death into perspective. She's right, I didn't mean to start the fire. Warren is in a better place. I hope they have lots of books there, Warren liked books. Allison thought.
Allison smiled softley as she remembered Warren's love for knowledge. "He would be in Ravenclaw, you know. Warren, that is." wanting to change subject she continued, "Do you have any siblings?" Allison's question felt out of place. Sylverster had spoken beautifully with vocabulary and personification and a knowlegde beyond her years, and here was Allison, asking a casual question about family.

Turning back to her newly made friend, she could see that Allison understood where she was coming from and imitated her smile. "He would be in Ravenclaw, you know. Warren, that is." Nodding, the Ravenclaw felt a twinge of regret that she wouldn't be able to meet the potential Ravenclaw, but she shook the feeling away, focusing on the present, not on the countless "what if"s in life. "I am sure that he is a Ravenclaw, even now, through and through." she murmured, giving Allison a wink.
When asked if she has any siblings, Sylverster nodded, her eyes lighting up at the mention of Sabrae. "He's my twin brother, younger by just four minutes. You can actually find him right there," she said, pointing to the Ravenclaw table, "Though he loves to keep by himself most of the time, he's actually very friendly once you get to know him better."
(I can't mention Sabrae so much, unless I create an account for him, but right now he's just an OC and NPC ;D)

Maybe it is to keep out of the social politics, Allison thought Father could learn a thing or two from them if that was the case. While the question Allison asked may seem like just gossip, she really just wanted to know more about this girl with words of wisdom years before her and an inspiring aura.

Perhaps many would have walked off upon recieving the cold shoulder. However, the charismatic Regis was not normally rejected from conversation, and was taken aback. He was intruiged that this girl was so put off by his appearance at this table. He was even more pressed to try and make friends. He thought of a list of things he could say but none seemed quite appropriate. "Perhaps I can find an excuse to talk!" He thought to himself.
He repositioned himself to talk with Allison. "This ring of mine, it's very important. Do you want a description? Maybe you can look out for it."

"I don't have a ring." He admitted. "I don't know why I said that. I apologize."
Dearly hoping she'd accept his apology and hoping he hadn't ruined his chance to make another friend, Regis awaited tensley.
