Overall personality: Adelaine is very brave most of the time. She has a dark side, but she tries hard to overcome it because she doesn't want to grow up to be like her parents. It's hard sometimes because she can't help it, but most of the time she's very lighthearted and easygoing. She's an only child. She's always laughing, and always sarcastic. She's a very good friend and knows how to keep secrets.
Diary Entry: Last night, I was just laying in bed when I heard the gate creak open. Father ran downstairs and through the door. I was curious, so I crept downstairs after him and stood at the door. He was talking to a tall man in a hooded cloak. It seemed urgent and serious. All the sudden, mother grabbed me and gave me a shove toward the stairs telling me to go back to bed. It was strange, because later that night I had such a vivid dream about that man. I couldn't tell what he was saying, but his hands were reaching toward me through the window next to my bed. It was as if he was flying without a broom.
The Appearance
First Impression: Adelaine wears dark clothes when she's at home, but when she's away, she wears bright colors and unmatching patterns, so people assume she's ditzy and a slob.
On Second thought..: She's very bright and very organized.
Overall Appearance: Adelaine has bright blue eyes, platinum blonde hair, freckles, and porcelain skin. She's about 5'4" and slim. Her hair goes midway down her back, and it's thick and wavy.

The Family History
Parentage: Christophe and Elyssa Beaumont. They're very strict and dark. They're originally from France, but they moved to England when they married.
Siblings: None.
Other important figures: Adelaine has distant relatives in France. Her family doesn't associate with any neighbors.
Reputation: They're known for being rich and mysterious. Everyone assumes they're dark wizards, but they don't know for sure. People fear them.
Secrets: Parents are dark wizards. They are against muggles and are part of an association in which the goal is for wizards to have all power over muggles, mudbloods, and halfbloods. They plan on Adelaine being a part of this someday, so they've taught her about dark magic from an early age, though they were strictly against her using it until she was old enough.

Are there any spells which are used a lot by your parents?They use simple household spells, and very dark spells that she's not supposed to know about, but because of this, Adelaine is actually very knowledgable about dark magic.
Has you character always known they were magical or did they worry they were a squib?She's always known, because when she was younger she'd accidentally break things or make things go flying.
Does your character have any strong feelings (good or bad) about magic or is it just part of their life?It's a part of her life, but it interests her greatly; she loves learning about magic.
Student Skills:
School Ethic: She was homeschooled. Her family lives in an area secluded to muggles, so there were no schools.
Teacher Relation: She is very well-behaved and has great respect for her teachers.
Work Ethic and Diligence: She is a very hard worker and would never damage school property. She loves learning, but at times she may get destracted by practicing a spell and not pay attention.
Subjects: She would be hesitant in Defense Against the Dark Arts (because of her parents). She probably won't do well in Potions because she's mostly interested in spells, they fascinate her.
Where don't you want to be: Hufflepuff and Gryffindor. Slytherin is where she'd most likely end up because she is a very dark person no matter how much she tries not to be, her parents were Slytherins, but she's not too keen on ending up there either. Go Ravenclaw!

Diary Entry from this year:
Well, the year is coming to a close. I can’t say I’m too excited, I really don’t want to go home. In a way, though, I’m looking forward to it. I’ll be sad to leave my friends. This year was amazing (although, I have yet to get my book back from Denman). I’ve learned so much and made more friends than I’d ever imagined. My goal is to make 2nd year nothing less than an adventure. Who knows what awaits?
Best memory/memories of the year (highlights): Getting my History of Magic book taken away from Denman (I found it funny).
Worst memory/memories of the year (lowlights): Never getting my book BACK from Denman.

How did your character change over the year:
- Physically: Grew an inch.
- Personally: Became more open-minded and outgoing.
- Does he or she view things differently? Not really, she’s just not as afraid of being herself.
- Have there been any changes within the family? Her parents still don’t accept her being in Ravenclaw, so there’s been a lot of stress.
Did Hogwarts meet his or her expectations? Absoluuuuutely.

What is your character looking forward to next year? Learning new spells, making new friends, and just living her life!
