Full Character Name: Lucilla Faustina Rosier
Lucilla – “Little Light” Latin origin
Faustina – “Lucky” Latin origin
Rosier – “Grower of Roses” French origin

Likes to be called:
Lucy by her friends, Cilla by her family ONLY. Anyone else she catches that refers to her by the pet name given to her by her mother will be pinched severely, or worse if she can get away with it.

Birthdate: March 3rd, 1782
The young Pisces are adventurous, ambitious, impulsive, enthusiastic and full of energy. The Pisces are pioneers both in thought and action, very open to new ideas and a lover of freedom. These people possess a curiously natural understanding, which they do not obtain from books or study. They easily acquire, or rather absorb, knowledge, especially of the history of countries, travel, research, and like subject. They can easily be irritated by slowness or moderation in their companions and, though themselves sensitive, ride roughshod over the sensitivities of others. These people are also more mentally ambitious than otherwise. They are inclined to brood and become melancholy, or to imagine all the world is against them and that they are being made martyrs of. Depression gets them. Because they see life as a mystical whole, they take it as a sign that they're bad people when things go wrong.

Age: 11

Residence: Godric’s Hollow, England

Blood: Pureblood [They admit to absolutely zero percent of muggle heritage]

Social Class/father’s occupation:
Her father is a gentleman and therefore has no specific occupation beyond the running of his household and meddling in the occasional hobbies of his, such as wand-making and the cultivation of grapes for vintage wines.

The Personality

Emotional Disposition:
Lucy is a girl of extremes in all aspects of her nature, and this characteristic touches her particularly in her emotional state, and she can be easily swayed by a passionate whim for, unfortunately, major decisions. Generally a happy, bubbly nature in public, but with her family or in private her moods can change at the drop of a hat, from depression to apathy to glee in the miraculous space of only half an hour.

Core Value:
Moody.

Positive Characteristics:
+Loyal
+Outgoing
+Persevering
+Enthusiastic
+Inquisitive
+Adventurous
+Adaptable
+Hardworking
+Very bright

Negative Characteristics:
+Tactless / Insensitive
+Selfish
+Narcissistic
+Judgmental

Conflict and hardship:
I feel that filling out this section is unnecessary; refer to the “Secrets” section.

Motivation, Passion and Drive:
She’s eleven and a half years old. Motivation? To get of her parent’s house. As for passion and drive, she hasn’t gone to school long enough to figure out exactly what they are in her life.

Motto or catchphrase:
“Ad eundum quo nemo ante iit,”
To boldly go where no (wo)man has gone before. [Latin]

Overall personality:
Depending on the situation at hand, Lucilla alternates between two faces: around most adults and especially her parents, she is meek, submissive, respectful, and obedient. If one were to pay special attention to Lucilla’s behavior one might even go so far as to suggest that she was even a bit frightened of them, with an overly timid and subsequent nature that goes beyond most pureblood children’s’ show of respect, and stranger still, one would notice that this attitude was absent in the rest of her siblings.

Diary Entry:
August 1st, 1793
I finally have it, and starting today I can finally sleep at peace tonight knowing that I will not share my poor brother’s fate. The Hogwarts letter arrived for me with the morning post just as Betts, one of our house elves, began to serve us our breakfast in the dining room. I hadn’t paid much attention to the owls that had flown in because stupid Marc had decided to pinch at my sides to try and get a rise out of my temper in front of Father and Mother, as if I would ever allow that to happen. A well placed kick to this shins made him stop quick enough, and I’d be a liar if I said I wasn’t enormously pleased when he teared up like the pathetic crybaby he is and was forced to lie to Mother when she asked him what in Merlin’s name was wrong with him. It was actually Father who, after glancing at the front page of the Prophet as he always does, siphoned the heavy envelope towards my place at the table with a flick of his wand. I recognized the Hogwarts crest immediately and my heart raced with excitement.
“Open it Cilla,” Father told me with pride I rarely, if ever, receive from him, and as he asked me to read it aloud for the family to hear my hands trembled with the thrill of it –
“Dear Miss Lucilla Faustina Rosier, we are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry…”
Lissy and Livy were pea green with envy with what happened next! Mother actually got up and hugged me and even Father beamed with pride and patted my shoulders before he left with Mother to make a social call and promised to come back with a present from in town! I’ve always wanted a little black kitten, since I was four, I hope he hasn’t forgotten that.  On a completely different note, though, today also marks the one year anniversary since Marius’ murder last summer. No one has spoken of it, of course, and most of the time I feel as if I am the only who remembers him.

The Appearance

First Impression:
From a first glance, one would suppose her to be something of an obsessive compulsive disorder type, as everything from her sparkling purple hair pins to her mauve ballet flats will match whatever else she is wearing, not to mention her hair, which, either worn up or down, does not have a single hair out of place. In a conversation, adults would find her courteous and pleasantly inquisitive as well as deferential to their opinions, while children her own age would almost immediately find her fun and generally exciting to be around, as she is not your typical eighteenth century pureblood girl made into a doll by her parents.
On Second thought..:
The first impression is accurate in a way, and yet it isn’t. Lucilla’s bubbly nature, which she was born with and naturally exudes, has become more and more superficial since the death of her brother Marius. She absolutely refuses to break down in public, but when she’s alone she indulges herself now and then with a good cry, brooding and sulking in peaceful silence.

Overall Appearance:
Small even for her age at only fifty-three inches, or 4’5” and thirty-four kilograms, or seventy-five pounds, Lucilla has never shown any concern with her size and for what she lacks in height she has always made up for in presence. Her excellent posture, quiet demeanor (at least around adults), and meticulously groomed features never fail to get her attention even when she does not consciously desire it. Physically, everything about the girl is small, from her button nose to her tiny feet she crams into too small satin ballet slippers. Thin boned, pale skin, and a pleasantly heart shaped face surrounded by a head of dark brown hair, she looks fairly plain for a girl her age, except for the eyes she inherited from her father Caligula, which are a scintillating mixture of blue and gray.

Basic Skills:

Can your character:
Read: Yes.
Write: Yes.
Handle Money: Decidedly not.

Posted Image

Julia Rosier – first cousin, eldest daughter of her uncle Thaddeus Rosier, age 15
Slytherin Prefect

There are also various Lestrange, Dolohov, and Prewett cousins of Lucilla's that also attend Hogwarts, and all of which are pureblood, each of them sorted in either Slytherin and Ravenclaw, although one (16 year old Michael Prewett) was sorted in Gryffindor and promptly disowned for dating a muggleborn witch from his own house.

Reputation:
The Rosier's are well known as an old, proud, and established Pureblood British family with French roots, though it's been generations since Gaius Rosier, born and raised in Paris, set foot on British soil traveling by portkey from Calais in the north of France. In only two more years since his arrival, Gaius married into the ancient British wizarding family of Peverell by one Cerridwen Peverell, who had incidentally also attended Hogwarts as a member of the house of Rowena Ravenclaw. Unless their neighbors are pure of blood, they don't often talk much over the fence, so to speak, and even the children of that family can appear quite unapproachable.

Secrets:
It is generally well known throughout the wizarding community that the eldest son of Caligula and Maria Rosier died in a tragic freak-accident in the Seine River in France last summer. However, rumors quoted from more than a few anonymous sources that lived nearby the Rosiers in Godric’s Hollow told reporters from the Daily Prophet in private interviews that they were quite sure the boy had been a squib, or at least that was the local gossip to that effect. Marius Rosier had been a bright, sensitive, good looking boy with a gentle disposition that favored his mother remarkably by all accounts, which was another reason why it had been so puzzling to friends and acquaintances of the Rosier family when it had been reported that he had dived into the river from a bridge in wizarding Paris even when unequivocally instructed not to so, at least according to Mr. Montgomery, who had worked as Mr. Rosier’s press secretary for the past fifteen years. After a few months of speculation however, the novelty of it all wore off, and the family never spoke of it again after the boy had been buried at the Rosier burial ground alongside his forefathers in the graveyard in that same village. The only ones even within the Rosier family who knew the real truth were Caligula Rosier and Lucilla herself – she had seen it all that balmy summer’s day a little over a year ago – she saw her own father imperious his own son, a squib and unable to perform the necessary magic, and forced him to dive into the river and made it look like the boy had done it of his own accord.

General:
I don’t think so..? Lucilla is only a recent idea of mine, so the character isn’t fully developed yet, but as I’m posting I’ll probably add more to this.

The Wizard Information:

Wand:
Oak, straight, eleven inches, thestral hair core – hand made by her father

Pet:
One jet black kitten named Foodi.

Specific Questions for Purebloods:

Are there any magical items in your house, how about a house elf?
Of course there are many magical items in the Godric’s Hollow house, some perfectly safe and legal and others not so much. Cursed and rare magical items owned by her father or given to her mother are safeguarded away in a hidden room in the house dedicated for a specific purpose. As or house elves, there are three of them: one to watch the children, one to serve her parents, and one to do the cleaning, cooking, and serving at mealtimes.

How strict were your parents in enforcing no underage magic?
Not strict at all. In fact, Lucilla’s hand made wand was given to her by her father a year prior to receiving her letter from Hogwarts, when it was made clear by the several ‘accidents’ around her ninth year that she was bound to become a full fledged witch instead of a squib.

Are there any spells which are used a lot by your parents?
Not that Lucilla knows, as she avoids them as much as humanly possible.

Has you character always known they were magical or did they worry they were a squib?
During the issues with her younger and now (incidentally) deceased brother Marius, she had been a bit worried that she may be a squib, but as soon as she turned 9 she knew she was a witch as she could perform small feats of magic without a wand.

Does your character have any strong feelings (good or bad) about magic or is it just part of their life?
She has no feelings in particular, it is just a part of her, as much as a leg and an arm, and just as much taken for granted.

Student Skills:

School Ethic:
As their parents had both attended Hogwarts, and generations on either side before them, Lucilla and her siblings have been told the most exciting tales of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry their entire lives, and up until recently they even played ‘Hogwarts’, or would stage mock battles between Slytherin and Gryffindor, Slytherin and Hufflepuff, et cetera. Her mother would often take time out of her day to teach her and her sisters small and fairly uncomplicated spells, such as lumos. Specifically, however, Lucilla is thrilled to be going to Hogwarts for two reasons: one, to escape from her home for nine heavenly months of the year, and two, to develop her skills in magic until the day comes when she can best her own father in a duel.

Teacher Relation:
As with all adults she does not trust, Lucilla is likely to behave respectfully towards all of her professors.

Work Ethic and Diligence:
Lucilla is a very intelligent girl who enjoys reading and writing, and due to years of private tutoring, is likely to give her schoolwork her complete attention to receive top marks to distinguish herself as well as to please her parents and set an example for her younger siblings.

Subjects:
+Defense Against the Dark Arts
+Potions
+Transfiguration
+History of Magic
+Charms
+Flying / Quidditch
-Herbology
-Astronomy

Where don't you want to be:
Gryffindor. She wouldn't especially like Hufflepuff either, but if she were forced to choose, she most definitely would not want Gryffindor.
