The Personality

Emotional Disposition: Eleanor attempts to remain unemotional, as it suits her disposition best. Though she does not fear emotion or see it as a sign of weakness, she firmly believes it has a proper place. Professional interactions with students or colleagues are not such places.
Core Value: Thoughtfulness
Favourite Activities: Attending Theatre Productions, Listening to Musical Compositions, Reading Literature, and Dancing
Positive Characteristics: Eleanor regards herself as a role model to all those she enriches with her teaching. As such, she never displays acts of harshness where unfounded nor carelessness regardless of merit. She attempts to display the epitome of all the education she has learned in her years in order to be an encouragement for all of her students.
Negative Characteristics: It is Eleanor’s firm belief that an instructor must have a certain air about them. They must not allow students to believe that they are any more than mere children with much to learn. She is a very strict woman who will quickly pass judgment over misbehavers.
Interaction: Interaction between humans contains as much depth as any study in Eleanor’s eyes. She is very perceptive and reads into the facial movements and body gestures as much as the words that her conversation partner is saying. She dislikes sitting while speaking because it causes her to be short. She feels that being at her tallest she is perceived in the best light; upright, noble, and able to stand her ground.
Habits: Eleanor doesn’t have any repeating habits that she is aware of aside from wearing her hear up above her head rather than hanging loose like a carefree mongrel.
Conflict and hardship: Due to her perfectionist and proper nature, along with her father’s great love for her and unwillingness to marry her off to the highest bidder during her younger years, Eleanor has never married. Now, past her prime, she has come to the realization that she will most probably die lonely and it saddens her greatly.
Motivation, Passion and Drive: Eleanor believes that every person has a great potential that he or she is capable of reaching. She teaches in order to inspire that potential in students, and considers it both a personal failure and a great waste if a student chooses to toss that away.
Motto or catchphrase: “Haste makes waste”

The Appearance

First Impression: Eleanor may first come off as a self-righteous stickler who believes no one can attain her expectations.
On Second thought..: The woman has a tough exterior that is meant to seem impenetrable in order to remain focused on the task at hand. Yet she believes there is a place in everyone’s lives for strong relationships.
Facial Features: Eleanor’s face has gathered a few wrinkles over time due to her constant frowning when disappointed. Her eyes are a deep brown and are every moving, taking in all that her surrounds have as well as what they lack. If she smiles, it is rarely more than the corners of her mouth rising upwards for a few brief seconds.
Body type: Eleanor has a tall, slender frame and creamy white skin. She has never done any sort of laboring and thus she has never acquired much muscle or darkness.
Distinguishing features: Eleanor speaks with a slightly deeper voice than one might expect from such a feminine woman. She is also very soft spoken, believing that shouting is not necessary to get across any point. As well, no one should be talking when she is trying to speak.

Professional Skills:

Work Ethic: Eleanor doesn’t see a purpose in attempting something unless you are willing to see it through and put forth your best effort. Why waste the time in expending your energy and resources when you don’t intend to do your very best?
Work perception: While manual labour is a foreign entity to Eleanor, she believes that putting forth effort to get an outcome is work enough. Thus, she views work as completely necessary and often difficult, but highly rewarding.
Professional Relationships: A relationship can cover a range from a surname basis to romance in the eyes of Eleanor. While she does not approve of relationships that are openly viewable for the pubic, Heaven forbid the children, she also does not believe that you can choose who you fall in love with, even if the person is a colleague. However, she is not out searching for a spouse and she intends to keep her work completely separate from her feelings. That said, she would love to be friends with all whom she works with, though experience has taught her that she will actually get along with very few.
Capabilities: Eleanor prefers the life of solitude and is therefore very self reliant. She has not been hardened to constantly guard against humanity, she simply finds it a point of personal pride to be able to take care of herself.
Resume: After graduating from Hogwarts at such a date she will not reveal as it would give away her age, Eleanor and her parents began traveling Europe in search of learning. She studied various cultures and histories of the areas she visited while gaining a deeper appreciation for her homeland and customs. She delved deeply into literature and music, even that of muggles. She has taught within muggles schools, but found that the restriction of not being able to do magic, while bearable, was just not conducive to her style of living. She taught music and dance at Beauxbatons Academy of Magic during her last stay in France; however she realized that many of the girls learned the arts mostly for the sake of being pretty or for the desire to impress males. She found them all an utter waste and left after only three years. That summer, both of her parents passed away.
Eleanor has spent the last five years living alone, but began to notice her dislike of the lack of company. She greatly enjoyed her time as an instructor and is currently requesting professorship at Hogwarts, hoping to teach a more practical study. She hopes the students will consider it useful and thereby be more motivated to learn.

The Wizard Information:

Discovery: There was only a fraction of doubt that Eleanor would be non-magical due to her mother’s parents, however the worry came to nothing. At the age of five she was playing in a tree in the garden and the branch her left foot was perched on snapped, causing her to fall sideways. Rather than hitting the stones at the base of the tree and possibly injuring herself, she very slowly floated downward and landed lightly on her rump. Amazed, she ran to tell her parents who were both very proud.
Reaction and Acceptation: As a youngster, Eleanor was as thrilled as any one person could be to discover that they could do something extraordinary. But as time progressed, she realized that magic is both a blessing and a curse. Understanding control and precision is difficult with every day activities such as eating or talking; how much more aware you must be when using magic! As the realities of what she and other witches and wizards were capable of became clear, Eleanor became ever stricter in her ideas of meticulousness.
Wand: 13’ Cherry with Unicorn Hair
Magical Outline/disposition: Eleanor firmly believes every witch or wizard ought to be held accountable for their actions as magic users. It is a very heavy responsibility. She greatly enjoys Hogwarts and other magical academies because they stress the importance of control. We are each magical humans, not a bunch of animals brandishing wands.
Pet: Eleanor doesn’t have a pet at present

The Family History

Parentage: Eleanor´s mother, Elizabeth, as well as her father, Arnold, were both very loving and doting parents who gave Eleanor everything she desired while training her in the art of being a lady. Long hours of piano lessons were common as well as strolls through the family garden. The majority of her life was spent in leisure and lessons. During her young adult life, Eleanor had a traveling streak and roamed the continent with her parents. Their bond grew stronger, which made their passing so much harder.
Five years past, Eleanor´s parents both passed away during the summer months. Her mother had been bitten by an unknown insect on one of their outings and quickly became ill. Despite the Healer´s efforts, it took only a few days for Elizabeth´s old body to succumb to death. Not even a week later, Arnold, distraught and with a broken heart, passed away too. Comforted only by the thought that her parents were happy and together, Eleanor has suffered loneliness ever since.
Siblings: Eleanor was an only child, as was her mother. Her father had a brother with a daughter, Eleanor´s cousin. When the two were young girls they played outside together or practiced music. However once Eleanor began schooling at Hogwarts, she lost contact with her playmate.
Other important figures: Eleanor has always been rather secluded. Her grandparents on her mother´s side were both muggle, and thus a great interest to her once she found out that she was magical. They had a strange way of living, and she enjoyed spending time with them. They, however, didn´t live long enough to see Eleanor finish her studies at Hogwarts.
Reputation: Eleanor doesn´t have much of a reputation as she isn´t in public often or making a show of herself. If she were to be gossiped about, it would be to the effect that she is quiet, demanding, and has much pride.
Secrets: Eleanor, once young and rather simple in thought, fell in love on one of her many travels. A man by the name of Felipe quickly won her heart with his charm and continual professing of his love for her. Yet he shattered her heart one day when he simply vanished. Occasionally on her future excursions she would enquire as to whether or not he had been seen. Eventually she accepted the fact that he simply did not want to be found. Her disappointment grew into shame and Eleanor never told a sole.
General:Eleanor isn´t a difficult person to understand really. She enjoys order and takes pride in herself in presenting order. She doesn´t dislike any one person unless he or she earns a disapproving look. While she understands that children have a natural tendency to be carefree, she believes that sooner or later it will wear off or be outlived. That said, she doesn´t condone or partake in much frivolity. While a great portion of her life she was given the world, she has learned to stand on her own two feet. She´s not an angry or man woman, simply stern and is unwilling to take sass from students.
