We've received a few questions regarding the threads in Diagon Alley and the Start of term.
When the school year starts, Diagon Alley will remain available to everyone to finish your topics. Please do not start any new topics there once you are sorted and the school year has started.
From the start of term onwards, we'll start archiving topics in Diagon Alley that haven't had any new replies in the past 7 days. Eventually the forum will be empty and we'll close off access to Diagon Alley for students.
Heads up!

Hey Everyone!
I left a message the other day in Mugglestudies, and a lot of you have been asking what that was all about, so here goes!
Currently, Professor Warrick is going through some motions in real life that prevent her from being active. We don't know if this is temporary or permanent, we want to give Alyssa all the time to choose what is best for her in this case. I simply closed her class thread because I've seen what happened in Defense Against the Dark Arts when a Professor isn't active in their class thread, and I didn't want that to happen in Warricks class. So no one did anything wrong, in case you were worried.
Now, I haven't talked to Aly in a few days so I don't know if the situation is still the same, in any case it seemed kind to make sure that when she gets on, she isn't bogged down with left over work. All Slytherins please contact either Professor Llwellyn or me if you need or want anything in your House in the meantime. We'll update you guys when we know more.

With Hufflepuff finding a new Head of House in the form of Professor Compton, we still needed to find a new Head of House for the Slytherins. Please give a warm applause to Professor Reid, who was brave enough to step up to the job. Personally I think you green people couldn't have wished for a better replacement, so be kind to your new HoH!

Just a few heads up to help with the chaos and confusion that come with changing years:
- if you are already a student you will keep access to the Great Hall for the upcoming week. You will continue to see your House forums for the duraction of the holidays, so you can keep plotting and chatting in your OOC areas.
- We will start changing user groups, so you will see your icons change to reflect this.
- Soon you will all receive an email with updates and other noteworthy stuffs. At the END of the holidays you will start receiving warnings regarding the saving of your housepoints for this past year if you so wish.
- YES you can post in Diagon Alley, go have fun at the zoo!
As changing years is a huge effort for the staff, things are likely to go wrong here and there. We're counting upon our lovely members to help in this process! If there is anything that doesn't work anymore, please inform Professor Denman immediately. If there's anything that looks weird or out of place, do so as well. Contrary to popular belief he rather gets 20 pms about the same issue than none ;-)
Happy Holidays!

Now that the school year is starting, I'd like to grab your attention and direct it towards those cute numbers and + in the bottom right corner of everyones posts!
'What's this reputation exactly?' Adelaine Beaumont asked (those Ravies, always seeking more knowledge!)
Well, that's exactly what those little numbers are for! If you really like someones post, do not hesitate to let them know by clicking that little green +!

Hey Everyone!
I come with sad news today. Some might already have noticed that we have taken Professor Reid, and Slytherin head of house from the staff team. They have been replaced by the wonderful Professor Hart, played by Sarah.
Today we've also taken out Professor Haverleigh. Audra tried very hard to fit DMRP into her life but is just too busy to devote the time you deserve to her Professor Character.
As we have recently found a wonderful new staff member in the form of Jon, playing Professor d'Ambray, we are currently not looking for replacements. The staff is very happy we have a well oiled team going, dedicated to keep DMRP going strong and fun for everyone.
Please make sure you give your new Professors a run for their galleons

Staff on Holiday
Just a small heads up... a lot of our staff is going on holidays during August and September. As we have an active awesome staff, I'm sure they're sorely missed the moment they're not here so here's a collective heads up, they're still here and haven't abandoned you at all!
