The Basics:

Full Character Name: Simon Virgil Millet
Likes to be called: Simon
Birthdate: May 14th, 1793
Age: 11
Residence: The Millet family lives in a Georgian style house on the edge of a small muggle town in England, not too far from London. They have lived there for as long as Simon can remember. From a muggles point of view, the house appears to be abandoned as the family prefers to keep to themselves.
Blood: Pureblood
Social Class/father’s occupation: Mr. Millet is a budding scientist…except he hasn’t really discovered anything and his children aren’t quite sure what he is up to in his study. He does, however, also make medicine on the side to support his family. The family is middle class, having enough money to support themselves.

The Personality

Emotional Disposition: Quiet, but energetic
Core Value: Practical
Positive Characteristics: Simon is a thinker, usually being the voice of reason within a group. He is a natural born leader, sharp-witted, cautious, and dependable.
Negative Characteristics: A bit bossy, unorganized, sneaky and mischievous
Conflict and hardship: As the eldest child, Simon is often placed in the difficult position of trying to set a positive example. When one of the younger children makes a mistake, Simon often gets the blame for it. He does his best to watch over the younger ones, but he is still a child himself.
Motivation, Passion and Drive: He isn’t quite sure what he wants in life yet. Right now, all he knows is he can’t wait to get away and get the taste of freedom that he thinks Hogwarts offers. He wants to do well in his studies, but he is often easily distracted. One thing he does like is being able to take control of situations.
Motto or catchphrase: “There’s a better way to do that…”
Overall personality: Simon comes across as quiet, but it isn’t because he is shy. The quietness that he exhibits is because he is usually dreaming up some elaborate scheme; these schemes usually get him into trouble. While he is always quick to point out if someone else is being unpractical, he will not admit when he himself is wrong. In fact, he is a bit of a know it all. The information may not always be correct, but he thinks it is and will support his ideas no matter what. He is a quick thinker, always coming up with solutions to problems quickly. Sarcastic remarks also come easily to him. To those who are friends with him, Simon is always there whether they need advice on their schoolwork or advice on how to sneak out without getting caught.
Simon may be able to dream up situations quickly, but it is his younger brother Dante that helps him pull them off. Together, the two make quite a pair. Simon knows all too well about being sneaky and mischievous; he hates being caught doing something bad, however. If he feels as though someone will end up hurt as a result of his actions, he had enough self control to stop. He likes causing mischief, but would never purposely do anything that would cause harm to another.
While Simon likes to think that he is independent and takes care of himself, the fact remains that he is an eleven year old boy. He wiggles too much, forgets where he laid his glasses, and is still slightly afraid of the dark.

Diary Entry: I’m starting to get worried about father. Last night I woke up really late. When I went into the hall, I noticed that the light was still on in his study and there were strange popping noises coming from within. I realized that I haven’t seen him at all recently; during the day he is always working in his lab and it appears that he hasn’t been sleeping either. I wonder what he is working on that is so important? Nanny wants to take us to the park today. I’d rather not, since I should be getting my Hogwarts letter any day now!

The Appearance

First Impression: Innocent young boy who is well taken care of.
On Second thought..: The well taken care of part is correct, but Simon may not be best described as innocent.
Overall Appearance: Simon looks younger than he is. He is slightly short for his age and still has some of his baby fat. His cheeks, in particular, make him look younger than he really is. He has pale skin that tans easily,  brown hair that goes down to his ears, and dark brown eyes. His nose and ears are a bit too large for his face. While he is clean in the mornings, by the end of the day he is usually filthy. He bruises easily and always has some sort of marks on his lower legs. While he is suppose to wear glasses, he forgets them more often than not. His clothes fit properly, but he is a bit hard on them.

Basic Skills:

Can your character:

Read: Yes
Write: Yes
Handle Money:He knows how to count and spend money, but would be unable to do his own finances.

The Family History

Parentage: Both of his parents are in their mid-thirties. Mr. Millet currently is going through a mad scientist phase and the children do not see much of him. He cares for all his children, but has some rather strict rules for them. Mrs. Millet is currently in America visiting her sister. She has little say in the rules that are in place for the children.
Siblings: Simon is the oldest, but has three other siblings. Bartholomew (goes by Dante) is twelve months younger. The two are best friends and are always together. Dante is a bit more rebellious then Simon, which frustrates Simon at times. Phineas is seven years old. He almost died of pneumonia when three and is now extremely spoiled. Elizabeth is three years old. She is the princess in the family.
Other important figures: Nanny, who is a close friend of the children’s grandmother. She took care of their mother and has helped raised the children. She knows more about them then their own parents. She is also magical.
Reputation: The Millet family are the strange ones that nobody knows where they live. The neighbors are never sure when one of them is going to pop out of nowhere and has long since stopped asking questions.
Secrets: The Millet family use to despise muggles and muggleborns.. The current children have been taught that everyone is equal, but even they sometimes slip and say insulting things.
General: The parents love the children, but aside from the rules that are in place have little to do with them. Nanny has pretty much raised them as though they were her own, but the children have very little respect for her or their parents.

The Wizard Information:

Wand: 11’’, Walnut, Dragon Heartstring
Pet: Until recently, there were no pets in the house. The children joke around that the large spiders that hang around the house are their pets. Simon, however, received a female Pygmy owl for his birthday. He calls her Hollow.

Specific Questions for Purebloods:

Are there any magical items in your house, how about a house elf?The whole house is one magical mishap. Around every corner is some sort of magical portrait, talking mirror, carnivorous house plant. The children are use to all of the magical items and the large spiders that roam the house(Mr. Millet likes the spider, it is unsure where they came from). With Nanny in the house, there is no need for a house elf.
How strict were your parents in enforcing no underage magic?Fairly strict. They use magic in front of the children, but the children are not allowed to practice magic. Simon would be able to tell what a certain spell does or how to mix a basic potion, but that is about it.
Are there any spells which are used a lot by your parents? The basic spells for every day living.
Has you character always known they were magical or did they worry they were a squib?Simon exhibited his first signs of magic when he was about three. There was some concern because Dante showed signs of magic before him.
Does your character have any strong feelings (good or bad) about magic or is it just part of their life?It is what he knows life to be. Muggle life, however, scares him.

Student Skills:

School Ethic: Simon likes to perform well, but is easily distracted. He was home schooled by Nanny before attending school.
Teacher Relation: He will listen to his teachers while in class, but may question them a bit if his disagrees with them.
Work Ethic and Diligence:He likes his things to look nice and treats them nicely, but he often misplaces them. He does his best to get his work done on time, though it may be messy.
Subjects: He will most likely like the practicum classes (charms, potions) and dislike the ones that are lectures (History of Magic).
Where don't you want to be: He has no preference. (Though, his roleplayer would rather not play a Slytherin).
