[The Sorting Hat]

Hello Lucy Mary,  Welcome to DMRP. You've made it to the Introduction forum where we're very happy to see you! While you are here, please take the time to introduce yourself to your fellow RPers and ask any questions you might want to ask about the rules and the game in general. Is Lucy Mary the name you want to give your character? If not, please post with the full name of the character you wish to play, so we can change your Display Name for you. Once you've familiarized yourself with the forum and your fellow students, and your account has been approved, you'll promote to the rank of Apprentice. This will enable you to post in the out-of-hogwarts areas of the forum such as Diagon Alley and In the Country. Hi, I'm Lucy Mary. I can't wait to get to hogwarts. I love my family, I have 2 sisters and 1 brother. They're younger and I don't know any other fellow witches and wizards so it's going to be scary coming to hogwarts for the 1st time. I'm nice and I'm friendly and I like to read a lot. I guess you'll find everything else out as you get to know me.

Now that you have posted here, and admin should be along shortly to bump your account up to 'apprentice' so you can work on your character card. In the mean time, feel free to have a look around the forum and the rules. If you have any questions then feel free to ask them here.

Once you have been bumped, you can work on your card. Simply start a new topic in the 'Character Cards' area an a preformatted template will appear which you can use to complete your card.

There is a sorting stop in effect at the moment though, because we are at the tail-end of the current in-game year. Once the game moves over to the Summer Holidays though the hat will be brought back and will start sorting students once again. You shouldn't have to wait more than a few weeks.

Once your card is posted though, you can post in out-of-school areas such as Diagon Alley.
