Meghan glanced nervously over her shoulder as she hurried along, hoping to further explore the Room of Requirement while everyone else attended breakfast. No doubt she'd pay for the lack of a full belly, later as time slowly passed in her classes. A ravenous stomach she could endure, but a ravenous mind was something to be remedied as soon as possible. Having not spent as much time as wanted exploring the mystical room last night, Meghan was eager to continue her trek through the seemingly endless room. Even after the girls had departed to their own commons, the Animagus book had glued itself to Meghan's train of thought. The thought intrigued Meghan as she wanted to see whether it could actually be obtainable. Could the trio, maybe turn Animagus without the help of a full wizard or witch? It would be most excellent if they could. Perhaps she could bring it up when she met the girls, they would be here any moment now.
In her haste Meghan was flabbergasted to find Alexander standing near the entrance of the room. How could this have happened? Was is merely chance he was here, or did he know about the room? Figuring that shuffling her feet would not answer her question, she was about to speak, when instead an utterly embarrassing squeak, resembling that of a mouse, came out instead.
Clearing her throat, and playing with her hands she lifted her eyes and finally said,
"Fancy meeting you here Alexander, shouldn't you be off to breakfast? A growing boy needs his food." Not what she had planned on saying, but it would make do. Meghan shifted from one foot to the other an awkward silence filling the air. Meghan Morris, was not a shy person, but caught in her act she felt her cheeks heat as she tried to keep from averting her eyes. Her mother had told her that that was a sure sign of someone lying.
