Hello,

My name is Esme and I'm a huge Harry Potter fan, (Aren't we all?) and I thought I would like to try Rp. I'm a complete novice so if I do something wrong please let me know. Besides Harry Potter, I kayak and fancy myself as a amateur photographer. I'm also studying International Relations.

Well that's a little about me I can't wait together to know some of you.

Hello Esme, welcome to DMRP.
I am Jon and I play Joe and Mary Wilkins, also Professor d'Ambray.

Don't worry about being a novice, we all started somewhere and we are a friendly crowd after all. If you would like someone to mentor you through the initial stages, you might want to check out the 'DMRP Adoption Thread' in Diagon Alley.

The first question is what do you want to call your character? You'll want to choose a first and last name for this person, then one of the admins will adjust your display name accordingly. This is not the sane as your login name though, you still sign in with the username and password you registered with.

As you have posted here and proved that you are indeed human, someone will be along shortly to bump your account up to 'apprentice' so you can work on and post your character card. In the mean time feel free to have a look around the forum and the rules, familiarise yourself with the place.

At the present time a 'sorting stop' is in effect. This is because we are nearing the end of the current school year and it would not be appropriate for new members to be sorted right now. Once your card is posted though, you are welcome to post in the out-of-school areas such as Diagon Alley.

If you have any questions, feel free to post them here or pelt one of the admins with your owl.

Welcome, I'm Sadie one of the mods and I shall go and bump you up to apprentice so that you can join the mad house! We all have to start somewhere, so don't worry. I actually started RP on a former incarnation of DMRP and four and a half years later I'm still  going strong so I can testify that this is a great place to get into RP. ^^
