Hello Larissa,  Welcome to DMRP. You've made it to the Introduction forum where we're very happy to see you! While you are here, please take the time to introduce yourself to your fellow RPers and ask any questions you might want to ask about the rules and the game in general. Deputy Headmaster Professor Denman explained in the welcome pm you received what this forum is, and why you're here, so if you haven't read it yet, please go to your Owleryand check your Owls. Is Larissa the name you want to give your character? If not, please post with the full name of the character you wish to play, so we can change your Display Name for you. Once you've familiarized yourself with the forum and your fellow students, and your account has been approved, you'll promote to the rank of Apprentice. This will enable you to post in the out-of-hogwarts areas of the forum such as Diagon Alley and In the Country. Hello everyone:) I am not a stranger to rps as i have been on other sites, but I am new to this one. Thank you for all the warm welcomes:) that means alot. I hope to see some of you through out the year

Hi, and welcome to DMRP
I'm Jon and I play Joe and Mary Wilkins, also Professor d'Ambray.

Is 'Larissa' what you want to call your character? You should also think of a last name as all our characters are known by a first and second name. You can either give it here or as part of your character card and one of our admins will update your display name accordingly. This is not the same as your login name, you will still log in to the site using the same name you registered with.

One of the admins will also bump your status up to 'apprentice' before long, since you have posted in here and proved that you are indeed human. Once your account has been upgraded you will be able to work on and post your card. In the mean time have a look arond the forum and the rules so you can familiarise yourself with our site.

A sorting stop has just come into effect, so unfurtunately you may have to wait short while for your character to be sorted. The stop occurs because we are now in the last half of a school year and it would not be appropriate for new students to be joining the school at this time. Once your card is posted though you are welcome to RP in Diagon Alley and other out-of-school areas.

It is good to hear that you are no stranger to RPing, that means you will get along fine here, but if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask them in this topic.
