The Basics:

Full Character Name: Imogen Eileen Baileigh
Likes to be called: Imogen, Im'
Birthdate: August 20, 1785
Age: 11
Residence: Whitechapel, Tower Hamlets, London, England
Blood: Muggleborn
Social Class/father’s occupation: Imogen's father is a playwright, however, he hasn't written anything in a few years and seems to take odd jobs around the theatre to help support his family. Even so, he's oft depressed and seems to not want to work at all. He does often use the money he makes to put into money making schemes which generally fail. While the mother stays at home and when not caring for her depressed husband, helps clean people's homes as a maid. Did previously work as a Shakespearean actress. They are just getting by, not rich as her father squandered any money he made while still writing plays; and not poor either as the mum has saved up enough and does not let the husband get the money she hides.

The Personality

Emotional Disposition: Reserved
Core Value: Hard work and perseverance; loyalty to loved ones and friends.
Positive Characteristics: Trustworthiness, friendliness, loyalty, bravery, hard-work ethic, intelligence, over protectiveness of family and friends
Negative Characteristics: Easily trusting, absent-mindedness, individualism and emotional reservation, over protectiveness of family and friends.
Conflict and hardship: Being a bit wary of entering a Magical school and being the worst in her year because she's Muggleborn; even after Ian's reassurances.
Motivation, Passion and Drive: The Violin and writing
Motto or catchphrase: Fix your house first before you fix your neighbours
Overall personality:Calm, emotionally reserved, a bit too preoccupied with trying hard to be well liked.
Diary Entry:
August 20th
Finally my eleventh birthday. In a few days time, I, like Ian will be attending Hogwarts. Ian is very proud and he sent a letter along to tell me so. Can't wait to be at Hogwarts. I'm not sure how I'll be getting there yet, but if a teacher comes like parents said he did for Ian, than we shall know everything. Can't wait to go shopping for robes, quills, parchment; not to mention a wand. My very own! It'll be spectacular!

The Appearance

First Impression: A bit strange, she keeps a lot of things to herself; but is a rather cheery character none the less and is very loyal and honour bound to her friends.
On Second thought..: She's feisty, isn't scared to say what she thinks, stands up for herself and her friends if she thinks they are being attacked verbally or physically. Will say things even when they might make people uncomfortable.
Overall Appearance: Short, skinny, with strawberry blond hair and spectacularly blue opal eyes.

Basic Skills:

Can your character:
Read: Yes
Write: Yes
Handle Money: Not certain, she has never been allowed to handle money before.

The Family History

Parentage: Anthony Baileigh and Gwendolyn Islwyn
Siblings: Five siblings. Three brothers: Ian 23 (Gryffindor), Duncan 5 and Edmund 1; Two sisters: Cordelia 7 and Ophelia 3
Other important figures: Edmund Baileigh, Anthony's younger brother.
Reputation: Mum was well known before she married, her father hasn't published anything in a few years time.
Secrets: Other than her and Ian's magical abilities?
General: Her parents are a bit crazy about Shakespeare and have named her, her youngest brother and her two sisters after characters in the plays. Imogen has named her cat Hamlet.

The Wizard Information:

Wand: Unicorn Hair Birch 11 3/4
Pet: White Kneazle named Hamlet

Specific Questions for Muggleborns:

How did your parents react when you received a letter from Hogwarts? They weren't surprised, considering that her older brother Ian had already attended Hogwarts.
What explanation is given to your family for your long absences while you are at Hogwarts? Her family has told nosy neighbours that Imogen is staying in Blackpool with her older brother, on the count of sickness that is helped by the sea air.
What future did your character abandon in favour of coming to Hogwarts? Becoming a house wife.
How did your character find out they were magical, how long have they known and how did they react when they got their Hogwarts letter? They've been showing signs from an early age.

Student Skills:

School Ethic: Imogen has not been to school, since her parents cannot afford it. She has learned how to read and write however and is looking very much forward to getting to Hogwarts.
Teacher Relation: As she's never been to school, she can't be sure but she knows that she'll try her best to be nice to everyone.
Work Ethic and Diligence: She learned how to read and write at an early age; would like to think of herself as a diligent student
Subjects: She's most interested in Transfiguration and Charms. Potions seems like a good subject but she doubts she'll be able to master it. Defence against the dark arts seems like something she'd want to take seriously.
Where don't you want to be: She doesn't really know, I mean how could she. She's Muggle born. Although her brother was in Ravenclaw.
