[Adelaine Beaumont]

Adelaine just about let her temper get the best (or worst) of her. How could Meghan possibly be worried what Alexander will think? Did she not hear a word that was said? The boy was reading their lips!

"No one heard what I said, Meghan!" she responded heatedly. "Of course, Alexander probably knows exactly what I said, the little sneak."

She looked over at the Slytherin. He was leaving the hall with his head down; good. She hoped he felt just as sheepish and ashamed as he looked. This was his second offense with her, and she wasn't sure how much more she could take.

"How can you still be worrying about him?" she added fervently to the sulking girl. "First, he eavesdropped on you and Em, and now this. It's reprehensible."

As soon as she spoke, she wished she could take it back. She'd forgotten that Meghan still didn't know that Alexander heard the conversation in Honeydukes. Adele had told Emmy and suggested she apoligize, but apparantly things had only gotten worse. Why hadn't she remembered to tell Meghan as well?

Meghan was as clueless as could be. What on earth was she talking about? If this had really happened why hadn't she said something  beforehand? How would she ask all these questions while rhyming???

"I have no clue what you are going on about. With you keeping things from me what should I begin to doubt? Are you sure? What pain has his nosiness caused you to endure? You hurt me. Is there more you are keeping from me?" Meghan was about to go off in a rampage. This was preposterous!
