Welcome to DMRP! You've made it into the Welcome forum, a place to start making acquaintances with the other members, and get all your questions asked. For your convenience, a topic will be created the moment you sign up, so we can all get to know you! Of course, you might have some questions, we hope we've addressed those in the FAQ below, but if you have any additional questions, please PM a member of staff or post in your welcome topic!

Novice FAQ!

Q. What is this madness?! Why can’t I Post anywhere else?!

A.No worries, nothing is wrong! We [the Heads] are just making sure you’re a legit member and not trying to extol the virtues of Viagra and other such pharmaceutical goods. Once we agree you’re human [which in some cases is debatable] we will release you onto the rest of the boards. For now, just chill out here and get to know some of your fellow students. Please post in your topic, so the first administrator to wander by can upgrade your account, enabling you to post.

Q. How long will I have to be stuck here?

A. Usually it will only be a couple of hours, between the four of us it is unlikely you’ll be unchecked for too long. But please remember we also have lives [Shock! Horror! Madness!] so it can be up to a day. Please be patient. It will also go a lot quicker if you post while you are here, that way we can see at a glance that you’re from human descent.

Q. Do we have to post in here?

A. Yes. I love easy questions!

Q. When can I post my character card?

A. Once we have declared you of the human race, you will have access to the Character Cards section and can post your alias then. This will normally be a few hours, but can take up to a day. Once your card has been approved it will be moved into your year group. Have patience young grasshopper! While you're working on your character, you are welcome to post in Diagon Alley, especially during the summer holidays or when there are other students still waiting. Keep in mind though that all rules apply and we might have to ask you to change certain things in your character card.

Q. Where can I find the Rules?

A. We have a handy dandy forum called The Rule Book where you can find all our Commandments and Educational Decrees!

Q. You have incorrectly deemed me non-human! I demand an appeal route!

A. Opps! That’s completely our bad, if we have wrongly named you half Giant/Merman/Veela then please use the “Contact Us” button at the very top of the forum to let us know! Please include your email address, your characters name and cookies. Okay so we don’t actually need the last one, but they will be appreciated!

Q. I didn’t realize you had to sign up with your characters name! How can I get fixed?

A. No worries! Just post in your welcome topic with the name you want for your character and we'll magically make it happen! If by some freak of nature we miss your request, just PM one of the heads and we'll fix you up!

Q. My sister/brother/aunt/dog already signed up for your site, how can I join and not get in trouble?

A. Not a problem, we love families here! Simply get your relative to PM us telling us of your intention to sign up and what your name will be and we’ll make sure you go through. However, if it turns out that you are abusing our trust....well, you’ll find out why exactly it is that everyone is terrified of Ogren the Awful.

Q. None of these questions are what I want to ask!

A. Well aren’t you the curious cat? Kidding, if you have a question feel free to post in your welcome topic and one of our oh so helpful members or staff will answer your question! If no one knows the answer, then feel free to PM one of our all knowing Heads and they will surely put you straight.
